How can I protect my wireless network?

There are some simple methods to protect your local wireless network from hackers.

1. Change your administator password
   
2. Stop broadcasting your network SSID and change its name
   
3. Use strong encryption
   
4. Only allow known MAC addresses to connect
   
5. Turn off you access point when not in use
   
6. Check for wireless intruders
